The Inner Sanctum rituals are giving a lot of people trouble because you have to have "Crystal clear" sanity when you ENTER the Inner Sanctum to be safe(without candle camping). The problem is the scripted sanity modifiers. When you complete the orb in the Chancel(DO GEARS FIRST) the orb will explode after about 13 seconds. At this time the barrier drops and a timer starts that will give you a sanity boost in about 6 seconds maxing out your sanity(NICE). The problem is that entering the tunnel triggers a guardian event(flesh) that damages your sanity after about 1 second. So to survive you NEED TO

-Damage the gears.
-Complete the orb
-Go past the tunnel barrier AS SOON as the as you hear the orb explosion sound(it's safe then).
-Wait for the sanity boost(white flash) BEFORE you open the inner sanctum door.

If you do that you will have bypassed the sanity damage pitfall and will be able to enter the Inner Sanctum with "Crystal clear" sanity.

Note: I did this without lantern to show that you can literally leave it off the whole time with this method and be safe but feel free to use it.

Also in game gamma adjustments don't capture at all for me so I used Reshade to do them.
