Aisha is an undergraduate of Cal Poly Pomona University, Go Broncos! She graduated with a degree in Psychology and earned a minor degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections. She spent a few years working as a Los Angeles County Children and Families Social Worker. She is also a graduate of Mt. Saint Mary’s University of Los Angeles where she earned her Master of Science in Education and her California State Teaching Credential. Aisha also spent a portion of her undergraduate education studying abroad in London, England.

Aisha began her career in education over 13 years ago and has taught in various school, learning and training environments throughout Los Angeles and its surrounding cities. She has a solid training in pedagogical methods, along with great energy and enthusiasm for reaching students and finding ways for students to enjoy learning. Aisha played a leadership role in helping one of her school sites earn the state honor for becoming a California Distinguished Democracy School. Over the years, Aisha has also participated in providing instruction for Saturday School, after-school tutoring programs, STEAM summer school, the California Science Center and has even served volunteer time to escort students on weekend field trips. In addition, she has worked alongside other educators to collaborate and develop grade-level instructional strategies, activities and school-wide performing arts productions.

Aisha is committed to being a lifelong learning. She often takes advantage of professional development opportunities and in recent years has become a participant as one of the California Teacher Performance Assessors for student teachers and collaborated with a major video game company as an Educational Consultant. In her spare time, Aisha enjoys bike riding, visiting the beach, dancing, writing, meeting new people, creating music and baking.
