This trip to Chicago felt different , nostalgic, freeing, and a little emotional. I solo traveled for the weekend, walked the entire city, met up with another South African, and somehow it reminded me what it feels like to be a kid again - curious, open, and excited by everything.

It’s one of my favourite trips so far - not just because of the city itself, but because of the feeling it gave me. Growing up doesn’t mean losing that sense of wonder; it just means learning how to find it again.
