We’ve noticed that sometimes our students give quite basic answers in the Aptis ESOL speaking test, so we've looked at how you can use a wider range of grammatical structures, expressions, vocabulary and phrasal verbs. In each case, we show you an example of a basic A2-style answer, and then a better answer at B1/B2 in bold. The relevant parts of each response are underlined.
