Dave Salmon - A Man and his Camera - Guildford Scenes Part 2-1

Описание к видео Dave Salmon - A Man and his Camera - Guildford Scenes Part 2-1

Dave Salmon sadly passed away in July 2015 and fortunately, I became the custodian of his vast collection of photographs; some of which have already been released through my You Tube Channel and Rambling Railwayman Series Books and DVDs.
Dave certainly had an eye for taking photographs and this didn’t always relate to railways but included just about everything else!
Well known Guildford Historian David Rose and I have put together a selection of Dave’s work entitled Guildford Scenes Part 2-1; covering Dave’s early life, his National Service, his work as a Highways painter for Guildford Corporation, Cycling and Cycling Events and photographs that Dave took in the 1960s and 1970s, the Friary Brewery demolition and Lost Buildings.
Part 2-2 covers the Guildford Railway Station Demolition, Guildford Buildings as the were, Carnivals, Processions and Events, Guildford Floods, Sports and Social Events, Out of Town and Closer to home and Part 2-3 features Guildford City Football Club, including rare 8mm cine film digitised to HD Video of Guildford City Football Club and photographs of the club in their heyday plus a Bonus selection of iconic aircraft that Dave captured at Air shows across the country.
