Costway Wooden Bunk Bed with Trundle- meaning THREE mattresses for this bed ( 2 full and 1 twin) We end up using the twin portion like a couch - very fun because we all hang out as a family on one piece of furniture

Wayfair Mattresses are super firm and comfy on day 1- will update after a year or so- kids are sleeping on them 😴

we watched so many YouTube and no one was installing them on a double full so we felt we had to!

These mattress are a bit too high for this bunk bed but we made adjustments- lucky costway accidently sent the wrong part when it arrived- sending us 3 bed ends and forgetting to send a top bunk bed potion- they promptly sent the correct piece fed ex and we had an extra end bed piece which came in handy and raised the guard level high enough to accommodate the higher mattresses.

Without that piece I feel this bed requires mattresses LESS than 14 inches - five to 8 inch thinner mattresses are ideal. However we only knew that fact after spending $900 on two full size mattresses from wayfair sent in a box and totally NOT able to be re package 🤣

So the Wayfair Mattresses is VERY comfortable but I wouldn't recommend this mattress with the double full bunk bed because it's too thick.


if you are looking for mattresses for your new Bunk Bed with Trundle you may want to think twice about these Wayfair Sleep 14" Firm Hybrid Mattress and opt for something thinner.

Or somehow extended the railing so the top person doesn't roll off

Came in two boxes from costway! Boxes arrived separately but within days of one another.

They sent the wrong pieces the first time

We had to email customer service- but the next morning they had responded and sent me shipping info via FedEx ex on the part replacement delivery - that took another 4 days

Then it just saw there with no mattresses for like a month since wayfair kept not shipping out and not updating- after talking to customer service a single rep handled the entire delivery promptly with phone and email updates along the way

Right now my two daughters are on the top bunk snuggling and playing toy story 3 co op on the TV while.my wife sits on the twin and leans againt the bed frame.she is pregnant with our son so that counts as another person)- I am on the bottom full size beds enjoying the really Firm and comfortable wayfair mattress I never thought could be THIS comfortable and come out of a BOX.

Costway Double Full Bunkbed with Trundle is sturdy with slight frame shaking when the kids are wrestling up top but nothing crazy. Feels Firm and secure with lots of points of contact keeping the Mattresses secure and able to hold up to 360 pounds per bed (as advertised)

Have noticed splintering but looks more like the wood is finally being used and is getting rid of the stiff parts- would recommend going over with sand paper before installing.
The bottom bed supports of the top bunk- NOT the painted sections.

My youngest daughter just shouted "Tonight is the best night EVER* as we all sit around in comfort on this one piece of furniture
