This is Linn Park, (82 hectore / 200 acre) an extensive area of hilly old woodlands, lawns, formal and informal paths on both banks of the River, White Cart Water, a tributary or the River Clyde. The Park has an 18 hole golf course, children’s play areas, an old castle and an equestrian centre. It is situated in the midst of a suburban area in the Southside of Glasgow City, Scotland.
On this spring afternoon the river was low, we have not had heavy rains for quite a few days. The weather was cool but bright, their had been frost and snow fall overnight, mostly melted away, but evidence of it can be seen in a couple of the shots. The new leaves are just appearing on some of the trees and daffodils are still in bloom.
People are out walking their well behaved children and dogs. We visit the waterfall and cross the Halfpenny Foot Bridge a couple of times. We walked a total of 2.0 ml / 3.22 km in this walk.
