Controversial but world-renowned writer Saadat Hassan Manto was born in a middle-class Muslim family in Ludhiana in 1912. He was a Journalist, Short Story author, and Screen Writer. Manto produced 20 collections of short stories, five collections of radio dramas, He wrote about sex and desire, alcoholics and prostitutes. In his journalism, he predicted the rise of Islamic Fundamental in Pakistan. Some of his notable work is Toba Tek Singh, Thanda Gosht, Kaali Shalwar, Hattak and many more.
