How to Paint Commanders to Stand Out in Your Army

Описание к видео How to Paint Commanders to Stand Out in Your Army

In this video, we're tackling a common challenge: painting command squad leaders so they stand out while maintaining a cohesive look with the rest of the army. We'll be focusing on our Canadian Mountie / 17th-century British military-themed Astra Militarum command squad. If you missed our last video on painting the troops, be sure to check it out for the basics.

We'll start by painting the veterans with the same methods we used for the sergeants: red zenithal highlights, navy trousers, reddish-brown boots, brown bags and metals, white straps, and green accessories. But this time, we'll add extra layers and highlights to make them pop even more.

For the main commander, we'll flip the primary and secondary colors, making the under armor white to set them apart. We'll guide you through painting whites and skin tones, achieving smooth blends and crisp highlights. Plus, we'll discuss our regiment's unique name and acronym, STAR, and show you how to paint a striking command banner.

By the end of this tutorial, you'll have a command squad that not only fits seamlessly with your army but also stands out on the battlefield. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more painting tutorials and updates on our ongoing projects!
