BEBOP 2 - Camera Focus | Sensor Noise | Fix Explanation - Part 3

In the search for probable causes for the degradation of the BEBOP 2 video quality I was able to replicate 3 scenarios and identified what I illustrated to be possible remedies.

1 - Image degradation due to artefacts created by sensor noise.
2 - complete loss of focus in the entire image
3 - partial loss of focus in the image

Please do not attempt any of these if your drone is under warranty. In the case that it is under warranty, please contact Parrot directly to rectify or replace your drone.

If you are out of warranty and want to attempt the fix before buying a new camera please proceed with caution.

If you have thermal paste (put it between your sensor and the frame), this may or may not improve your footage but at least you will have peace of mind that the sensor will have a better cooling system.

Parrot SAS, please allow in FFP update a function to "disable noise reduction" some users prefer to do this in post production. It will reduce the processing load on the P7 aka Cortex A9 so a possible extended time due to less power draw so its a win win for everyone.
