Welcome you all to new vlog .
This is quite emotional vlog for me which is also last vlog of Azerbaijan series . The day has came for Indian to leave Azerbaijan Village . In the title of video I have used word adopted , it literally can be understood as the love & care which I have received by Azerbaijan village family for me as like their own kid which is truly an unforgettable memory for me .


The village Sheki of Azerbaijan is small , just 2 days are enough to explore in & around the village but I really don’t know how I spend so long time in there for around 9 days . The reason could be the enormous love of locals & beauty of the village . But the day has finally came for Indian to leave the beautiful village of Azerbaijan. The day has came to say Bye to the wonderful & happy people around me .

The day when I tried to leave but Host asked me to stay one day more and better leave Tommorrow when I tried leaving in morning Uncle asked me to go later & let me tour around the village , shown me the beautiful surroundings of Kish River . The level of generosity & Love can be seen in their eyes for me . Even after deciding for leaving it was hard & emotional for them as well to let me go .

Before leaving Aunty ji packed some fried crispy snacks for me to eat on the way & also packed traditional soviet drink known as Kompot which is made from boiling individual or several fruits together diluted with water . I wish to give them some present from India even I don’t have Indian currency to give them but gave them a coin & banknote of some other country as a memory.

As I planned to hitchhike from Sheki Azerbaijan to Baku Azerbaijan . I started from the last bus stop of Countryside, there are 2 ways to go to Baku Azerbaijan from Sheki . One is dedicated proper highway & another route is Sheki - Oguz - Gabala road , the road ahead after Gabala is not good which is serpentine would be taking more time to reach to Baku as compared to dedicated highway . I choose Sheki - Gabala route because the route goes all around the mountains with a great view of Caucasus mountains & also to show and describe the touristic places of Azerbaijan.

I got first ride on a truck till Oguz Azerbaijan, the former name of Oguz was Vertashen from Armenia language. Verta means Rose & Shen means village . But after 1991 due to Conflicts between Armenia & Azerbaijan , Armenians leaving at this place went away & the name was changed to Oguz . Taking free rides or doing hitchhiking was quite easy within 25 mins have got my all rides . With the third ride I reached to Gabala which is very famous tourist attractions of Azerbaijan. It consists of beautiful Nohur lake , an amusement park & Gondola rides along with the beauty of Greater Caucasus mountains . The sharing taxis also operates from Baku to Gabala for 15 Azn / 750₹ .

From Gabala Azerbaijan I got a bus ride in free till Baku , started around 7 pm in evening covered distance of around 125 kms in 2.5 hours till a restaurant. Hitchhiking by private buses is also a great experience , in buses there are several seats empty , I always carry hitchhiking board with me written Free ride please in local language which clarify my goals & destination without any problem . Travel my friends Travel ! Whole world is there to help you .

As my android display got damaged because of falling in water , I couldn’t talk or Interact with the host in Baku Azerbaijan . I don’t know where I would be sleeping tonight in Baku . Around 11 am I reached to Baku main bus stand , nearby there was metro . Baku metro operates till 12 am midnight. Local guy asked me to better go to near Caspian Sea side which is lively and safe place to spend night .

In morning local Azerbaijan girls wake me up from sleep around 5 am . Those Azerbaijan girls tried to Interact with Indians , also called me up to their seats but I rather chose to sleep and wake up around 10 am . Local Azerbaijan men helped me to get my phone display fix. I followed him & paid 3500₹ / 70 Azn for to fix my android Vivo phone display. After I talk to my mother and later ended up the vlog .
