Описание к видео Rubén Olivares vs Kazuyoshi Kanazawa II Oct 25, 1971 1080p 60FPS HD Japanese Broadcast

Voted 1971's Japanese fight of the year, and although I have no base of comparison, having not watched any other Japanese fight taking place back in 1971, I am of the belief that any fight that could possibly have been better than this one would have to be so damn good that you, me, and that guy standing over there would be well aware of that fight. It would have to be THAT great of a fight to have beaten this fight out. Yup, I love this fight about as much as Morales vs Pacquiao I! Please enjoy the fight if you should choose to do so!

This was one of the first fights I uploaded when I started doing so here on YT. It's certainly one of my favorites, definitely in my top 5. The version I posted back whenever was in decent quality, but I knew there had to be better somewhere and today there was finally better somewhere for me. A channel/uploader* named joeji 48 (if you are reading this, GO and check out his fights) which I would guess to be run by someone who's either living in Japan or is of Japanese extraction, was amazingly kind enough to look for this fight, where the hell he did so I've not the foggiest, but within an hour of my asking he replies that, this fight I had spent a month or so looking ALL over the internet for, was already located and was in the process of going up on his channel. Not bragging, well, not too much bragging, but I ain't so bad at finding fights that are difficult to come across, but this shit here? This is absolutely absurd to say the least. Absurd in a very great way, though. In closing, I will be removing the previous version I had uploaded in the next few days

Judge: Shigeru Fujii 64-64

WBA World Bantamweight Title (1st defense by Olivares)
Notes
Kanazawa was knocked down three times in the 14th. Upon the last knockdown, the referee immediately waves off the bout without starting a count.

*Early in the fight, with the Japanese commentary being both automatically generated into subtitles by YouTube, then automatically, and seemingly very poorly auto-translated into English, it appears that the commentators mention that at the moment they're watching and calling the fight, it's close to 5 AM in Mexico, and that the fight is being beamed via satellite to Mexico. They also mention the name of a man who I believe to be Luis Moreno, a Spanish speaking commentator, who appears to have done a lot of commentary work during this era for many fights held at the "Great Western Forum" in Inglewood, California. In Olivares next fight, against Jesus Pimentel, less than two months after this 14 round war (!!!?!!!,) co-commentator Mario Machado asks co-host Luis Moreno a question regarding the Kanazawa fight and mentions his being in attendance for the fight, which was held in Japan. This leads me to believe that, if the translation of the Japanese spoken by the commentators is fairly correct at the moment they are mentioning Mexico, I think it very likely there was a version of the fight with Spanish commentary. Unfortunately, if so, it appears to have not yet made it's way online. I hope to come across this, as well as a much better video of the fight itself, which I know exists. If you ever come across anything related to this fight please leave a comment
