"Soulshine" was written by Warren Haynes and originally recorded by Lary McCray on his 1993 album "Delta Hurricane". A year later it was included on the 1994 Allman Brothers Band album "Where It all begins". The bass was played by the late great Allen Woody, who sadly passed away in August 2000. The song title is derived from Warren Haynes nickname, given by his father.
