When you beat enemies, they'll drop gear and runes. The color tells you how rare an item is, and its stats are completely random, so finding something great always feels exciting. The ultimate prize is purple gear. It's the rarest kind and comes with four powerful stats that are significantly stronger than anything else.

You can take your gear to merchants to make it even better, with each item being upgradeable up to ten times. The runes you collect aren't for equipping directly; instead, you use them to craft special "Rune Word" items. This is the best gear you can get, and putting it on will massively boost your character's power.
