Shakiest hands ever.

I wrote a FAQ explaining the key tech in the run!

How do you jump so high?

Swapping between 1-handed and 2-handed weapons during a jump lets you do a double jump mid air. You get optimal height when both jumps are very close together, so it often looks like 1 very high jump. It's also possible to do triple jumps, or chain even more, but it gets extremely precise after 3.

On 1-1 and 3-7, we don't have 2 different weapon types to use. We can perform different superjump technique, by using reloading, or swapping between 2 weapons of same type. However, to do these you need do do a neutral jump (jump without holding any directions) and press direction buttons right after.

Why do you spam bullet time? Or use it at all?

The way bullet time works in this game, by default it just slows down everything by 40%. Getting kills increases it's efficiency, further slowing down the world, without slowing you down. It caps after 3 kills, at which point you are 3 times faster than the world.

Spamming bullet time with high efficiency gives a short speed buff. We can also abuse it to get through doors before they close, slow down fire damage ticks, or block the glass door in 3-8.

==============================

Why jumping?

Diagonal jumping is slightly faster than running.

==============================

Why does 2-1 end early? Why are you invincible on 2-3?

This is known as the cutscene glitch. By using the slow-mode reload (which requires max bullet time efficiency) into a cutscene, we gain control of Max in the cutscene. During that state, we can just walk through certain objects. Conveniently, going straight left lets us walk through a rubble right into the end of the level.

The cutscene also gives invincibility, and we can keep that until the start of Mona levels, letting for easy drop to the end of 2-3.

==============================

Why are you so fast on 1-3? Why roll in dream levels?

In dream levels, bullet time doesn't slow down world, but getting kills will still make you faster, so we enter 1-3 with max bullet time efficiency to go super fast. Also, sideways rolls slow down time by 30%, and with dream levels cancelling that effect, they become fastest form of movement.

==============================

How did you drop to the bottom on 2-6?

Killing the guy without aggroing him earlier triggers a cutscene, the cutscene makes you immune to fall damage. We still have to avoid the instant death trigger, which extends pretty far.
