2024年7月28日午前11時ごろ、ANA伊丹発松山行き（NH1639便）がエンジントラブルのため「緊急事態宣言」をし、伊丹空港に引き返しました。この機体はボンバルディア DHC-8-402で、乗客乗員79人が乗っていましたが、けが人等はいなかったと報道されています。

1. 片肺飛行
双発プロペラ機は、片方のエンジンが故障した場合でも安全に飛行できるよう設計されており、もう片方のエンジンが残っている限り飛行を継続し、安全に着陸することが可能です。エンジンのトルクと操作について、パイロットはラダーを使ってトルクの影響を補正します。片肺飛行中は、飛行機の上昇能力や巡航速度が制限されることがあります。

2. 緊急事態宣言
緊急事態が宣言された航空機は、他の全ての航空機に対して優先権を持ちます。管制官は、最善の経路を確保し、迅速かつ安全に着陸させます。

3. 空港の対応
滑走路の確保や緊急車両の配置など、空港は万全の対応を行います。他の航空機への指示も行い、安全な運航を確保します。

4. 緊急着陸と乗客の対応
緊急着陸後、乗客の安全確保のための措置が速やかに取られます。

5. 事後対応
事故の調査や再発防止の対策が行われ、乗客のケアや代替便の手配なども行われます。
