Acclaimed filmmaker and author Mark Cousins works to reassess not only how we look at film, but how we can look at the world differently through the image world of a filmmaker.

In an intimate lecture from Sheffield Doc/Fest 2018 Mark presents a visual journey through his recent book The Story of Looking, and using a range of images and clips, Mark explores the aesthetics, politics and emotion of ‘looking’.
