Bhramari Pranayama, often referred to as the Humming Bee Breath, is a calming and soothing breathing technique practiced in yoga. In Bhramari Pranayama, the practitioner produces a humming sound resembling the buzzing of a bee while exhaling slowly through the nose. Here's a short note on Bhramari Pranayama:

Bhramari Pranayama is a simple yet powerful breathing exercise that can help calm the mind, reduce stress, and promote relaxation. To practice Bhramari Pranayama, find a comfortable seated position with the spine erect and shoulders relaxed. Close the eyes gently and take a few deep breaths to center yourself. Next, place the fingertips lightly over the ears, with the thumbs covering the tragus, the small flap of skin in front of the ear canal. Inhale deeply through the nose, and as you exhale, make a low-pitched humming sound by gently closing the glottis (the opening between the vocal cords) at the back of the throat. Feel the vibrations of the sound reverberating throughout the head and chest. Continue to exhale slowly and steadily, maintaining the humming sound for the duration of the exhalation. After completing the exhalation, release the hands and take a few natural breaths before repeating the practice. Bhramari Pranayama can be practiced for several rounds, gradually increasing the duration of the humming sound with each exhalation. Benefits of Bhramari Pranayama include stress reduction, relief from anxiety and depression, improved concentration, and promotion of inner peace and tranquility. It can be practiced at any time of day, but is especially beneficial when feeling overwhelmed or in need of relaxation. However, individuals with ear infections or certain medical conditions affecting the ears or sinuses should avoid or modify this practice. As with any pranayama practice, it's essential to practice Bhramari Pranayama with mindfulness and awareness, paying attention to the breath and its effects on the body and mind.
