Nail swatches of the Plum Pixie Dust Color Affair Nail Polish in the shade 'Stargaze' on dusky skin. The swatches are done in natural light with no flash.

The colour is a beautiful pastel grey with silver glitter particles. The pigmentation is really good in spite of it being a pastel shade. The first coat was very slightly patchy and full opacity was achieved in 2 thin coats with no visible nail line.

The formula is a lovely cream nail polish with a textured finish. It dries down to a completely matte finish with silver glitter particles that catch the light and a sandy texture that is beautiful!

I used a single thin layer of the Plum Color Affair 3-in-1 Strengthener, Base & Top Coat as a base coat. I did not use a top coat because I did not want to mask the textured finish.

The Pixie Dust polish wasn't too quick-drying and so it had time to self-level. I waited 5 minutes between coats.

The lasting power is great, with no chipping or flaking for at least a week on the hands, and until you remove it on the toenails. The polish can be removed with a regular nail polish remover.

This was my first time trying a nail polish from this brand and I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. I love feeling the texture of the polish on my finger nails too!

I have just stocked up on 5 bottles of the 3-in-1 Nail Coat and 1 more Nail Polish from the Pixie Dust range. This should give you a fair idea of what I feel about the products! The fact that they are 7-free and cruelty-free is obviously a great relief, too.

How To Use :

1) On clean nails, apply one coat of the Plum Color Affair 3-in-1 Strengthener, Base & Top Coat. Allow it to air dry.
2) Follow with two coats of Plum Color Affair Nail Polish in the shade of your choice. Allow sufficient time for each coat to air-dry.
3) Sit back, relax and let your nails air-dry completely!
Pro-tip 1: Avoid applying a top coat to preserve the 3D effect of the glitter.
Pro-tip 2: Avoid blowing on your nails, the warmth & moisture in your breath actually slow the drying process down. Instead, let them air-dry naturally.
