MICHELSON - MORLEY Experiment ➤ Sp. Relativity Part 2 || in HINDI

In this Physics (Theory of Special Relativity) video lecture for B.Sc. in Hindi we explained the Michelson Morley experiment. We also derived the mathematical equations. This experiment disproved the existence of luminiferous aether, which was considered to be the medium responsible for the propagation of electromagnetic waves (of course including light). This experiment paved way for a new branch in Physics viz., Theory of special relativity.
This experiment was conducted using the Michelson interferometer. If ether existed, interference fringes were expected to be shifted, when the interferometer was rotated. But Michelson and Morley found null result. This experiment led Albert Einstein to take two very famous postulates known as the postulates of special relativity.
There is no doubt that this is a failed experiment. But this one is considered to the most famous "failed" experiment.
