Exploring the History of Sukhothai Thailand with Intrepid

This is Part 4 of our multi part series following our travels through Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia.
After a hearty breakfast we departed our hotel at 0900hrs to head to the Ayutthaya Train station for our train to Sukhothai.
The 4 hour scheduled trip took a little over 5 hours due to a mechanical issue.
Once we arrived at the station we had another 1 hour of travel to our resort, Legendha Sukhothai we arrived in the latter part of the afternoon.
After settling into our room we took a ‘school bus’ to dinner at Naa Cooking School.
The next day was truly dedicated to the 13th Century history of the area. It was truly spectacular!
We took a wee respite and enjoyed a Thai massage and a dip in the pool.
We travelled back to the site for a view of the sunset and returned to the resort for dinner.
Before leaving Sukhothai in the morning we had a truly magical experience making merit with the local Monks before a quick visit to the market!
