Toss the baseplate in the oven for a bit. Spray keyboard cleaner or Bubble Gum remover on the kingpin. The compressed air coming out of the can is super cold and it will shrink the metal away from the aluminum casting. Give it one good smack (if you can swing a hammer properly) it'll pop right out.
