Freestyle ice skating meetup in Japan

I went to Nikko Kirifuri ice center an ice rink in Nikko Japan to have a small freestyle meet up in summer.

In the fact, freestyle ice skating is not as popular as European countries in Japan so it is difficult to hold this kind of meetup especially in summer. However, I am super happy that about ten impressive freestylers came to the meetup and had a great session there.

I hope that the sport, freestyle ice skating will be more common in Japan and there will be more freestylers here as many as figure skaters and hockey players.

Through this video, I would like the viewers to know and think about freestyle ice skating and show how much fun it is.

If you are interested to start freestyle ice skating, please try to go to the rink near your place and feel the vibe on the ice. And if you are a figure skater who wants to start this sport, if you can afford to buy a pair of hockey skates that would be amazing but there are some freestylers who use figure skates so don’t worry about what kind of skates you use. Just search more videos to learn freestyle tricks on YouTube.
