GBRF Shed 66751 passes through Bryn Station on Friday 09th October 2020. The Class 66 was working the second of that days "Kelbits" jobs from Tuebrook to Ashton-in-Makerfield.

The train originates at a quarry up at Shap and heads down the West Coast Main Line in the early hours of the morning, it takes the scenic route (avoiding Bryn) to Tuebrook (by Edge Hill on the outskirts of Liverpool). The train is too long for the small bit of track at Kelbits so is split at Tuebrook with one half going in the morning and the second in the afternoon. Unless there is a failure it is almost always the same loco on both trips and due to the redeployment of Class 60s it is now a solid 66 working :(

I managed to get a shot one morning of the full train coming down from Shap, it was "celebrity" locomotive 66779 "Evening Star" too which was nice - that video is here:
