Bit or attacked by a dog? In this video, Washington State attorney Jennifer Witt discusses what to do in the tragic event that you or a loved one has suffered from a dog bite. Jennifer lays out the four steps that a person who has been bitten by a dog should take. (1) Call Animal Control and / or Law Enforcement (2) Seek and document all medical care, and document all other elements of the event that have cost you a monetary loss, such as lost wages (3) Talk to a local attorney who specializes in personal injury and dog bite cases, and be prepared for when you speak with them, and finally (4) determine what all insurance policies are at play, if any.
