You probably know that Batman and Green Lantern never get along. It doesn’t matter which version of Green Lantern, Batman has never been a fan of them. Especially Hal Jordan! He is the person Batman despises the most. I mean, it kind of makes sense since he’s pretty arrogant and goes against Batman’s set of morals.

In Justice League 1987, Batman gathered heroes from all around the globe, including Green Lantern, for the formation of the Justice League. It was quite obvious that he had no plans of joining the League if Batman was in charge, and was continuously mocking and provoking him.

Batman was trying his very best to keep calm as this meeting was important when it was disrupted by Gold Booster and some goons. After defeating them, Green Lantern made a huge mess of things by saying that Batman should just hand over the leadership to him. But this time around, Batman didn’t keep quiet. He punched the crap out of Green Lantern. It was a legendary moment that further alleviated their rivalry.
