Beyond The Groove was a British series shown on Channel 4 in 1990. A businessman, played by David Rappaport is sent on a journey of musical discovery, through the U.S.A, meeting a variety of musical characters, including, David Stewart, Annie Lennox, Bob Geldof, kd lang and many others.

Here, kd sings Damned Old Dog which was the B side to kd's first ever single, Friday Dance Promenade, released on Bumstead Records in 1983.

If someone could identify the harmonica player, I'd be grateful. Update: He's been identified as John Herbert.

Damned Old Dog was written by Margaret Roche and first performed by The Roches.
