LESSON NOTES:
One version of playing "Jerih Mo Yah Mah", However, there are different ways of playing this. Its just a simple and easy way to play the chord progression of the song.

We talk about what "Chord voicing" is. A chord voicing is just a way of altering the order of and intervals between the notes in a chord. So instead of playing CMaj7 as a block chord (C E G B) we could reorder the notes and play C B E G - which spans two octaves (called 'open harmony'). This is considered more sophisticated and clear.

A chord's inversion describes the relationship of its lowest notes to the other notes in the chord. For instance, a C-major triad contains the tones C, E and G; its inversion is determined by which of these tones is the lowest note (or bass note) in the chord.

The major pentatonic scale is useful for improvising, playing melodies and creating songs. The pentatonic scale is a musical scale with five notes per octave, in contrast to the heptatonic scale, which has seven notes per octave (such as the major scale and minor scale).
