Hand Lymphedema can be STUBBORN. But it can be well-managed and controlled with a combination of these main treatment options.

➡️ Compression - bandaging, gloves or gauntlets, and other paddings can help reduce swelling and then maintain fluid volume reduction. There are options for both day and night

➡️ Exercise - the muscles help move fluid through the lymph vessels and pump it out and away from a congested are

➡️ Lymphatic Drainage - manual lymphatic drainage (mld) is a gentle massage-like technique to stimulate the lymph vessels and guide fluid through them to an area less congested and eventually back to the heart.

➡️ Kinesiology Tape - unlike compression, kinesiology tape lifts up the skin, allowing for more space in the tissues below to cahnge the pressure gradient and encourage fluid to flow

Everyone is unique! So although All of these treatments have been found to be helpful, each person may use an individualized combination of them. And possibly other treatment options!
