Day 5 started out with a late morning room service breakfast, which always feels so decadent and the perfect thing to do on vacation. Although we miss the old days of full room service, for us it was perfectly fine to have breakfast dropped off at our room, especially since delivery was quick, we already had a dining table in the Corner Tower Suite, and everything was delicious.

We then headed over to Park MGM to try our luck at slots. We had won a massive $24,000 jackpot on a Dancing Drums Explosion game there last December so we went in search of it but of course it was gone! We tried the Huff n' More Puff Grand game that was in its place but that didn't work out at all. We had some modest success on a fun new game and tried some others but weren't really getting anywhere, so we stopped in the High Limit Lounge there for a cocktail. Our bartender Juan was terrific and made us some really fabulous cocktails. We also discovered that at some point since we had last been there that they now have complimentary bar snacks, which we always appreciate.

Then we headed over to New York New York to see what was going on there. We tried several games in the high limit room and on the floor but we were winning absolutely nothing! We wanted to try a total change of scenery so we decided to take a taxi to Resorts World so we could at least be assured that we'd get some really nice cocktails while playing at Crystal Bar.

When we arrived at Resorts World we decided to finally visit the Here Kitty Kitty Vice Den speakeasy. We had wanted to go there for ages but we were never able to make it happen. They let us in without the password, which was nice, and we walked into a small, dark back room with amazing decor. They had an extensive menu and it was hard to decide what to drink, but we finally settled upon a couple of drinks that we really enjoyed. Mine was served in a bowl which was hilarious for this mom of two kittens! The service was excellent and we really enjoyed hanging out there.

After a quick stop in the fabulous disco bathroom it was off the Crystal Bar. I am perfectly happy to sit here for hours and play slots and video poker while people watching and enjoying incredible cocktails. Mr. E joined me for awhile and then went off to play elsewhere, and I found out later that he ate some tacos, which would have been a smart thing for me to do as well. We found each other again and played some slots and a claw game, and the tipsy commentary is ridiculous! I had to cut the vast majority of the footage to spare you the madness and save a bit of our dignity as we both enjoyed way too many cocktails. It was actually really funny because we don't normally get to that point, but hey, it's Vegas!

I had wanted to check out the Zoox robotaxis at Resorts World out of curiosity and this turned out to be the perfect time to do it! There was no line and we just had to fill out a waiver and choose which loop we wanted to go on--the Resorts World Loop or the Las Vegas Strip Loop. We chose the Strip Loop, which was a 21-minute test ride. I don't think we would have done this if were weren't really tipsy, but it turned out to be fascinating and we enjoyed it! We felt safe the entire time and talked a lot about whether we'd want to take a robotaxi once they were available to go anywhere.

We took a taxi back to Aria and by that time it was late and it was packed! A lot of people are talking about how Vegas is dead, and while we observed that there were not many people around mid-week, that's how it's always been for years, especially in the ridiculous heat of August. It was loud and lively and we got sucked back into playing slots again. And this time we found the Baby Unicow!

Mr. E finally headed up to bed but I played video poker for a bit longer at the Gem Bar to no avail and then realized just how hungry I was. I grabbed two slices from Moneyline, took them up to the room, ate them and went to bed! While we didn't have much luck this day we did have a ton of fun and that's what Vegas is all about.
