I tread softly through the moss‑covered paths of the East Shroud, hooded under ancient trees whose leaves whisper with sylph‑song. My name is Edward — though many know me as the Miqo’te bard “K'nekotein Khpein” — and I arrived here to fulfill a curious request: our friend Rolfe Hawthorne believes that to be welcomed by the sylphs, one must show up not empty‑handed, but bearing a gift worthy of their woodland hearts… 🎶

🌿 Quest Background & Lore

This quest — titled *First Impressions* — begins after you complete Sylphic Studies. Rolfe, at his humble hut in East Shroud, admits he has forgotten what exact offering would win the sylphs’ favor. He urges me to seek out his wife, Rosa Hawthorne, who might recall the nature of this offering.

Rosa suggests something... unusual: the root of a certain seed‑kin, known as “milkroot.” The sylphs — it seems — appreciate its curious visions. To obtain it, one must stir a Strange clump of grass (a “curious tussock”) with amber syrup, which will draw forth an enemy: an Ochu. Slay it — and within its remains lies the milkroot.

Armed with amber syrup, I ventured to the *Honey Yard* near the Fullflower Comb, poured the syrup carefully on the tussock, and steeled my bow — for the Ochu did not greet me politely.
Victory was mine; the milkroot retrieved. I returned to Rolfe at the Hawthorne Hut and presented the strange root as the offering.
