Those were some of the darkest moments I’ve ever lived through — and the only reason I made it through them was because of the people around me.
My family.
My kids.
My friends.
My caregivers.
They showed up when I couldn’t.
They held the line when my body couldn’t hold anything at all.
Recovery teaches you a lot about strength, but it also teaches you about support — how much it matters, how much it carries, and how much it changes the outcome.
If you’re going through something hard, don’t push people away.
Let them in.
Let them sit with you.
Let them help.
We’re not meant to get through the toughest parts of life alone.
