Abraham Rosenstein (1878-1949) was a tenor singer born in Rumania who recorded over 50 songs in Yiddish and Rumanian for Victor, Columbia, and Emerson between 1916 and 1924. This song by Adolf King was recorded by Nellie Casman as "Der Rebe Und Die Rebetzen" a few month later than this version, in early 1924. [An "A. Rosenstein" recorded ten Yiddish songs for Gramophone in Lemberg around 1908. Possibly the same singer?]
