Voting is underway across Maharashtra for elections to 29 municipal corporations, with Mumbai firmly in focus. The BJP-led Mahayuti is facing a direct challenge from the reunited Thackeray cousins, Raj and Uddhav, in the high-stakes fight for control of the cash-rich Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. Polling across the state began at 7.30 am and will continue till 5.30 pm for 2,869 seats across 893 wards.
