Using A SCREWDRIVER To Test For ROD KNOCK On The $1,500 Hyundai Veloster

Описание к видео Using A SCREWDRIVER To Test For ROD KNOCK On The $1,500 Hyundai Veloster

Do you have a long screwdriver? That and a ratchet are the only tools you need to test an engine for rod knock or failure once the plugs are out. In the last 2012 Hyundai Veloster video it seemed like we might just get away with fixing a faulty timing chain tensioner on the 1.6L Gamma engine. About half the comments agreed that it's likely timing and it was a relatively common failure. The other half promised it was rod knock so I wanted to go back and check. Today we decide the cheap Veloster's future, pull the entire side of the engine off, or just swap the entire engine.
