The West Plains Crisis Response Team Launched in 2023. The idea was to find a better way to handle 911 calls involving behavioral health emergencies. Last year, the Airway Heights Police Department landed a 1.4 million dollar two-year grant from the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs. That Grant Runs out next June, but the need for help isn't going away.
