De Verbinding by Etienne Oldeman Filming

"The connection". Short documentary by Etienne Oldeman about a stream (in Dutch "spreng") in the Welgelegenlaan in Driebergen The Netherlands. In the 1990's the local government had the intention to place a waste pipe in the stream and make parking places in stead of the stream. The residents in the lane rise up and revolt. It helped. The local government mad a covenant with the residents. The residents made a "spreng team" for the maintenance of the spreng every year. The local government is responsible for the bridges and the major maintenance of the stream.

This fact gave a connection, collaboration as a team. Also the bridges are a part of the connection between the both sides of the lane.

This short documentary was my end final assignment of the documentary filming study (2 years) at Open Studio Video and Digital Media in Amsterdam in coronatime.
