Warframe is a free-to-play action role-playing third-person shooter multiplayer online game developed and published by Digital Extremes. Released for Windows personal computers in March 2013, it was ported to the PlayStation 4 in November 2013, the Xbox One in September 2014, the Nintendo Switch in November 2018, the PlayStation 5 in November 2020 and the Xbox Series X/S in April 2021. Support for cross-platform play and cross-save, as well as ports to mobile devices, are planned for the second half of 2021. The game is in open beta.

In Warframe, players control members of the Tenno, a race of ancient warriors who have awoken from centuries of suspended animation far into Earth's future to find themselves at war in the planetary system with different factions. The Tenno use their powered Warframes along with a variety of weapons and abilities to complete missions. While many of the game's missions use procedurally-generated levels, newer updates have included large open world areas similar to other massively multiplayer online games as well as some story-specific missions with fixed level design. The game includes elements of shooting and melee games, parkour, and role-playing to allow players to advance their Tenno with improved gear. The game includes both player versus environment and player versus player elements. It is supported by microtransactions, which lets players purchase in-game items using real money, but also offers the option to earn them at no cost through grinding.

Warframe es un videojuego de disparos en tercera persona gratuito de modalidad jugador contra entorno individual o cooperativo, aunque posee una modalidad jugador contra jugador en el modo de juego conocido como Cónclave.

La trama de la historia se desarrolla en un futuro post-apocalíptico luego del colapso de la civilización Orokin, donde tendremos que construir a lo largo de nuestra aventura varias cosas y subir de reputación con varios grupos para ganar recompensas, el jugador desempeña el papel de un
niño perteneciente a los Tenno, un grupo de niños que fueron mutados y adquirieron habilidades especiales al ser expuestos a la energía presente en el Vacío, un espacio sub-dimensional usado por los Orokin para transportarse, que controla unas armaduras llamados Warframes. Los objetivos del jugador incluyen el descubrir los eventos que resultaron en el colapso de los Orokin y el origen de los Tenno, coleccionar armamento, herramientas, mascotas y mods.

El videojuego está siendo desarrollado por la compañía Digital Extremes para Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One y Nintendo Switch. Permite jugar en modo multijugador hasta un máximo de cuatro jugadores. Warframe llegará a PlayStation 5 y Xbox Series X|S a finales de 2020, tras el lanzamiento de las nuevas consolas.
