How Kendrick Lamar Just CHANGED Hip-Hop

Описание к видео How Kendrick Lamar Just CHANGED Hip-Hop

After Kendrick Lamar dropped his #1 hit record that was also a diss record with ‘Not Like Us’ - it seemed like Drake’s career would be in a tough spot. Since then, Drake has had an interesting attempt at a comeback - releasing over 14 songs - some with Young Thug, 21 Savage, Latto, Lil Durk, Lil Yachty and more - while also releasing 100GB worth of content on his plottwisttt Instagram account.

Meanwhile, Kendrick has been silent and many fans have been wondering when his next album or his next move would come. DJ Akademiks said we’d be getting an album shortly - and it seems like he might be right as recently, Kendrick Lamar just announced he’d be performing at the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans. Jay-Z and Roc Nation are now partnered with the NFL to decide the performers and they’ve had The Weeknd, Rihanna, Usher, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Eminem, and more - but now it’s Kendrick’s turn and he is readily saying “there’s no round 2’s” - Pusha T agreed, and many fans assumed he was referring to the fact that the 20v1 rap battle between Drake vs. Kendrick, The Weeknd, Metro Boomin, Future, Rick Ross, The Weeknd, A$AP Rocky, Childish Gambino, Travis Scott (maybe), Playboi Carti (maybe) and more would now be over - even though Drake was saying he would win game 2.

Meanwhile, fans are also upset that Lil Wayne wasn’t chosen by Jay to do the halftime show - considering it’ll take place in his hometown of New Orleans. This could be related to Jay-Z and Drake’s subtle beef - but that, amongst everything that’s next for Kendrick’s career - will all be covered in this video.
