The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is definitely a must see for anyone traveling to the Kansas City area. The outside area of the Museum is impressive but the works of art on display inside the museum's permanent exhibits is even better. It is a must to reserve timed tickets prior to your visit, which is what we did this time around. We reserved the tickets the day before, which were free by the way, and there were plenty available. Last year, when I visited the Museum, I was not prepared and just thought I could walk up and go in.....like the good old days prior to the pandemic, but that was not the case. This time around, we were prepared.

We spent about an hour perusing through the Museum during this visit but I would advise allowing 2 to 3 hours to really see a large portion of what is on display.
