Croatia Road Trip | BEST OF the Istrian Peninsula

After leaving the Caucasus region behind, we headed to Croatia to start a road trip in the Balkans! We flew into the capital city of Zagreb and then made our way out to the Istrian Peninsula in the far northwest of Croatia.

We spent several days exploring the two very distinct parts of Istria -- Blue Istria and Green Istria. In Green Istria there are vineyards and olive trees and medieval hilltop villages... whereas Blue Istria is full of colorful seaside towns, marinas, and beautiful beaches.

It is a beautiful area of the country and was the perfect start to our road trip!
