Kim & Kevin had their wedding ceremony at the gazebo, cocktail hour at the Orchid Bar, and reception at Beverly Mansion.
The gazebo is one of the possible ceremony sites where you can get married. The bride, Kim, had a majestic entrance as she rode on a horse and carriage that circled the venue space and dropped her to the start of the aisle. It was such a jaw-dropping experience not only for the bride but for her guests, as well! It was something that they'll remember and talk about in the many years to come. The horse and carriage is an add-on that the couples can include with the venue.
Their friend, Will, officiated the wedding and did an amazing job. The ceremony ended, and the couple rode away on the horse and carriage.
After the ceremony, guests moved to the Orchid Bar, which was located near the waterfall. Just walking to the cocktail hour was a beautiful sight. Guests get to see the lush greenery and the waterfall along the way. Guests could enjoy many photo opportunities before the sun went down.
The reception took place inside the Beverly Mansion. It was well-decorated thanks to Finishing Touch Weddings. We had a white dance floor with a customized decal, white drapery behind the sweetheart table with twinkle lights, and a white stage to elevate the sweetheart table. And to top things off, there were gorgeous flower arrangements all around.
The couple wanted cold-sparklers, but unfortunately, the venue doesn't allow them (just a heads up).
I provided 4 speakers for my DJ setup to cover the rectangular-shaped room. I placed 2 speakers to cover the dance floor and 2 more to cover the room's sides. It makes a huge difference in sound so the guests can hear the music and announcements clearly. When they hear things clearly, guests are more engaged with what's happening.
The venue already provides uplighting, too. I still brought my battery-powered uplights in case there were areas to light up. I used my uplights to shine on the white drapery and the bar area. Uplights make a huge difference in lighting up the event space. And when it was time for dancing, my lights changed colors to liven it up.
As for music, I played a mixture of soft pop and jazz music for dinner. When it was time for dancing, I mainly played upbeat pop party music and some EDM. We also passed out foam sticks and glow wands that were branded with the couple's names on them.
Also, as a surprise, I wore my LED mask while playing some EDM.
People loved how cool it looked, and it was a hit!
We finished the night with a grand exit on the dance floor. We formed a human tunnel, and the couple walked through it to the song "A Sky Full of Stars."
Overall, everyone had an amazing time, and our couple lived happily ever after!
