It was a who’s who in the stands last Friday at Taoyuan International Baseball Stadium. Representatives from 23 countries watched a Lamigo Monkeys home game alongside President Tsai Ing-wen and Taoyuan Mayor Cheng Wen-tsan. Organized by the Taoyuan City government, the event was designed to give envoys a fresh perspective on Taiwan. Foreign representatives threw on their customized “Army Party” jerseys ahead of the big game. For many of them, it was their first time seeing a game at Taoyuan International Baseball Stadium.
