The Heaviest Warbow 240 lb

Описание к видео The Heaviest Warbow 240 lb

240 Pounds @ 32 Inches (Around 109kg @ 81 cm) is probably the heaviest English Longbow or Warbow for YouTube, as of 2020. Although the historical Mary Rose Longbows are made of yew, this reproduction is made of a quad-lam design, a bow made of 4 wood laminations: Brazilian Ipe, American Hickory, more Amazonian Ipe, and Japanese Bamboo (Glued with Titebond). The tips are Buffalo Horn nocks.
Much respect to the Bowyer archeybowman on Ebay. https://www.ebay.ca/str/archeybowman

This bow is inspired by historical English Warbows. Regarding the historical English longbows, the examples from the Mary Rose are estimated by Robert Hardy at 150–160 lbf (670–710 N) at a 30-inch (76.2 cm) draw length; the full range of draw weights was between 100–185 lbf (440–820 N). The 30-inch (76.2 cm) draw length was used because that is the length allowed by the arrows commonly found on the Mary Rose.

According to the world record, Mark Stretton (UK) drew a longbow weighing 200 lb @ 32.5 in, at the shooting grounds of The Bath Archers, Somerset, UK on 15 August 2004. The bow was made by Bickerstaffe Bows (UK), of yew wood, backed with hickory.
