Описание к видео Learning about Native California: From the Missions to the Gold Rush Era

Hello Educators and students!

This video offers a very brief overview of the Mission and Gold Rush Era that devastated Indigenous populations up and down California. Learning the truth behind these unpleasant and dark times in California is an important part of understanding the history of the state. There are valuable lessons to learn in what the California Indians endured and the struggles they faced, helps us to appreciate how amazing it is that the tribal Nations are still here thriving and practicing their cultural traditions.

Here is a brief list of questions to test your knowledge and what you learned from the video. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PmtO...

The museum has created this video to support educators and students while we are closed due to COVID 19. As a result, we have had to cancel our school tours for the remainder of the year, causing us to have suffered significant revenue losses. Although we are offering this video to our community for free, we hope that you will consider making a donation or become a member to the museum so we can continue to do our work and provide more resources to the public.
