http://www.loadfloors.com and Dayton Bag & Burlap's latest technological advancement has recently been installed and is ready for you. The new line is called "Fiber-Core-Panel" and was specifically designed for load bearing composite substrates.

Dayton Bag & Burlap, along with Covestro, has developed a honeycomb sandwich with structural content. The panels feature a honeycomb core with a top and bottom reinforced sheeting material that gives the sandwich its structure. The reinforced sheeting was developed to provide compression molders with the ability to quickly wet out the top and bottom surfaces. The process and materials developed will not allow the honeycomb core to completely fill. It is by leaving this space within the core that gives the composite its strength.

The Covestro "Baypreg® F" system produces high strength, extremely lightweight and rigid molded composite parts, such as door panels, sun shades and load panels. This system replaces glass-reinforced thermosetting plastics when a solvent-free resin with excellent mechanical properties is needed.

It is suitable for all compression molding processes and is compatible with a wide variety of different core materials and many reinforcing fiber materials.

End products can be found in a variety of automotive vehicle applications, including products from BMW, GM, Toyota, Nissan, Ford, Chrysler, and Volkswagen.
