As Nvidia is starting to drop more hints on the kind of experience we can expect from their new RTX 3000 series of graphics card, powered by their new Nvidia Ampere architecture, the amount of rumours on what we can expect from RTX 3000 also countinues to grow! These new RTX 3000 graphics cards will be a huge new launch and we are bound to see great performance increases between the RTX 2000 series and RTX 3000 series cards. But what's so special about the Nvidia Ampere architecture, and what can we expect from these new cards? Well today I will be going over one new Ampere graphics card specifically, the new Nvidia RTX 3090 which willl most likely be the new flagship card, and not the RTX 3080 Ti. The RTX 3090 is rumoured to be a very interesting graphics card, as it may mark a return to Nvidia producing dual-GPU graphics cards! The RTX 3090 dual-GPU rumour is a strong one and has a lot of evidence behind it, and also a lot of good reasons for why the RTX 3090 should exist.

However recently a whole new batch of juicy leaks about the RTX 3090 came it, which include the fact that the RTX 3090 will have 24GB of VRAM, and that the price for such extravagance will actually be rather low. So is it too good to be true? With the Ultimate Countdown RTX announcement event coming up in a few weeks, one burning question we still have unaswered is regarding how the RTX 3090 and other cards in the RTX 3000 series will be powered, with leaks suggesting we will need a 12 PIN connector for them! So is it really a big deal? Or will the power consumption won't even be an issue?
