People can and have died due to confusion of their type of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) with another type in an emergency. An example of this is confusion of Vascular EDS with Hypermobile EDS. Know the different types and communicate them. It's ambiguous to just say someone has EDS without including the type, because there are 13 types and they are all different.
