Woke up this morning and checked the webcam.... NO LAVA!
Still, I went on top of Big Ram as planned. But there is something I always wanted to do but was unplanned. When the drone reached the cone, it is BONE DRY! So let's not waste this opportunity to descend the drone into the volcano! This was an heart pounding exercise without the cardio! Check it out! I will post another one that the MINI 2 descended few hours earlier. You will see the difference.



******Give me ideas! I am only here for one more days! I will hike to the Big Ram on noon Sunday, the 8th of August. One Day Mooooore!


I will be posting some more videos of the craters and old volcano. Do you know there is another trail leads to Big Ram? I took this unofficial trail "D" to Big Ram today. There is no need to climb over the high peak of Long Spine to reach Big Ram. I will show you this trail tomorrow.... or when I get a chance to edit them together.


Some people asked about what drone I used to shoot these videos.
It's a DJI Mini 2! It is very small. Weighs only 249 grams. This eliminates the need for FAA drone pilot license requirement. The weight advantage is also great for my spine. After hiking 2 hours in and 2 hours out, you will feel every ounce counts! The FlyMore combo comes with three battery and charges by USB-C! After one battery is used, I can just plug a cable into a powerbank to charging while I continue to hike. This is very very convenient. I keep my other DJI AIR 2S at home most of the time because it is heavier and you can't charge the batteries on the go. (It has a battery charging base that plugs into the wall)
