Goblin Valley State Park: A Hidden Gem of Utah's Natural Wonders

Goblin Valley State Park is a hidden gem of Utah's natural wonders, and it's a must visit when you're in the area! It's unlike any other place you'll ever see, and what's more amazing is that you can walk among the rock formations - no blocked off areas like in other parks! The landscape will make you think you're on another planet and if you let your mind wander, it might actually be true!

We visited Goblin Valley State Park after spending a few days at nearby Capitol Reef National Park. It's only about an hour northeast of Capitol Reef, and we camped at a dispersed campsite just outside the National Park for free! Capitol Reef is our favorite National Park, and now that we've discovered Goblin Valley, it's our favorite state park!

There are 6 hikes available at the park, but today's video only covers the 3 valleys at Goblin Valley that feature the epic rock formations and views. It's a large area (and it's not shaded, so bring plenty of sunscreen and water), but you can explore to your hearts content! It's probably a good thing that most of us have digital cameras now because I would have gone through tons of film for a 35mm camera (guess how old I am - ha).

There is also a campsite in the park with 25 sites and 2 yurts. The park is open from 6am to 10pm daily, so check out their website at https://stateparks.utah.gov/parks/gob... for more details! It's $20 park admission and, if you want to fly your drone, a $10 drone permit fee. If you have a drone this will be one of your favorite places ever when you see the incredible footage you'll be able to capture!
